Melanie Rousselet is the founder of Artisane, a French-inspired candle atelier based in New York City.
Her approach blends fragrance craftsmanship, storytelling, and sensory design to create intimate, elevated experiences.
Each class is curated with intention — warm, creative, and welcoming — a moment to slow down, connect, and build something beautiful with your own hands.
Do I need any experience to join the class?
Not at all. This atelier is designed for complete beginners as well as returning guests. Everything is guided step-by-step, and all tools and materials are provided. Just come ready to explore scents and create something beautiful.
When can I pick up my candle?
Your candle is ready to be picked up by the time the class ends, at the end of the 60 minutes class. We will trim it and and you will be able to pack it in one our small gift bag.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes - you may reschedule up to 48 hours before your class. Because seats are limited, refunds are not available, but you're welcome to transfer your seat to a friend if you can no longer attend.
Where is the class located and how do I get there?
We're hosted inside the lounge at The Greats of Craft in Long Island City. Easily accessible by subway, (E,M,R,7) and several bus routes. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin on time and create a smooth experience for everyone.
